Our Business Assessment is not bookkeeping. It's not a quick consultation.
And it's not generic business advice.

It is a flat fee assessment that allows us to come in, understand how everything is working, and give you a clear direction - before we make any bigger decisions.
Sometimes this leads to ongoing work, like cleaning up and maintaining your books, fixing job costing, or tightening field management. If we do move forward, the assessment fee is applied toward future work - so you're not paying twice.

We spend 2-3 sessions observing how your business actually runs - in the field and in the office. We talk to your team. We focus on how your company communicates, interacts and operates.

The review
Now that we see how you operate, we ask only for what matters. Not 1000 documents, not keys to the castle. Usually this includes a review of the books, estimating, job costing, and field reporting.

Founder & Operator, LyonBuilt
Construction has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised in a family of general contractors and homebuilders, I started working in the industry at 15—setting up accounting systems, managing books, and learning firsthand how construction companies operate behind the scenes. After working in corporate accounting for a Fortune 100 company, life brought me back to the family business, where I stepped into operations during a difficult season and eventually launched my own company, HRL Enterprises. There, I managed renovations, financing, budgeting, and historic restoration projects, earning recognition for excellence in historic preservation.

Over the last two decades, I’ve worked across construction, trades, real estate, and property management—helping businesses clean up financials, rebuild systems, and bring clarity to operations.

LyonBuilt was created from that experience: a practical, straightforward approach to helping construction and service-based businesses understand their numbers, improve their systems, and make better decisions.
